What’s the first thing most people do when they land on a business website? If there’s a video – they watch it! Boom – you’ve got their attention. If they like what they see, they’re likely to stick around.

PENTICTON – What makes an awesome event? How about a vintage fashion show, Okanagan wine, mouth-watering appetizers and a lively dance floor? That’s exactly what you got at FAB. PENTICTON - If you’re a business owner looking to freshen up your marketing strategy, consider using social video. SUMMERLAND - As I try to remember what we’ve been up to over the past two weeks, all I can think about is wine, specifically red, which may explain why I can’t recall much.
Before moving to the Okanagan this fall, I prepared myself for the steep learning curve that comes with starting a business. The list of “dos and don’ts” is extensive, and so far – touch wood - so good. But there’s one thing I didn’t consider: if you want to do business in this valley, you’d better know your wine. Why? Because, as human history shows us, relationships are formed and deals are brokered when there’s vino involved.
